Taking place on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, the Earth Fest is an annual week-long celebration of sustainability and the environment that is hosted by the Office of Sustainability and the Nelson Institute. Then, their headliner event is the Earth Fest Forum with day-long activities such as a speaker presentation, art display, and screen printing.

To promote these events, the Office is collaborating with students of the Marketing in a Digital Age 355 for their upcoming nationwide advertising campaign in April. The advertisement will play across UWOS social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram). Their goal is to to create excitement with the UW-Madison campus and community by showcasing these events.

As one of the students assigned to the Earth Fest Forum, I tied in their pre-existing brand guidelines, goals and the digital affordances of the platforms to design a fun effective 43 second video advertisement for any audience familiar or not.

In quick fashion, the video lays the event information, then main events via their brand colors in sequential order which allow viewers to follow and digest the information more easily. Watch the video below!
