As a national leader of the arts, the Art Department is one of ten departments within the School of Education and the University of Wisconsin-Madison at large. Their mission prioritizes students first through a balance of creative field preparation, cultivation and strengthening of their creative expression, and development of an artistic community. The department is physically located at the Art Office where students have access to advisors and its front desk for meetings, infographics and office-related services.

As a front desk student assistant, I work closely with the department advisors to stay in tune with their mission while also meeting their objectives. Together, we create visually-engaging informative graphics for printed posters, our biweekly digital newsletter, and group emails for students and organizations.
